I’ll save you the long backstory on why I decided to make these and why they have significance to me. Honestly, the only meaning behind this recipe is that I like oreo bites and Halloween. Also, they’re easy to make even for a novice baker like me who often burns her creations.

Ingredients:
1 bag of Oreos
8 ounces of cream cheese
1 bag of pretzels (not the sticks, but the twisted kind)
Halloween sprinkles (preferably a bag that comes with sprinkle googly eyes)
1 bag of melting chocolate
Instructions:
Take the oreos and place them into a zip-lock bag. Then use a rolling pin (or whatever you’d like to use honestly) to crush them into bits. Remember to keep a few out for bat wings later on though!
Pour the crushed oreos into a mixing bowl.
Add cream cheese to the bowl and combine the two together using an electric mixer.
Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet (or whatever container you have on hand - there are no rules here)!
Place them in the fridge for 30 minutes to an hour.
While waiting, take the bag of pretzels and start breaking them apart to make spider legs.
Also take some of those leftover oreos and break the cookies in half for bat wings.
Take melting chocolate and, well, melt it into a bowl.
Take the cooled oreo balls out of the fridge and dip them into the melted chocolate.
Take broken pretzels and attach them onto the balls like spider legs and the broken oreos for bat wings.
Take your googly eye sprinkles and place them onto the oreo balls.
Place your spooky creation back into the fridge for a few hours.
Take out and enjoy (or just show off)!
For Added Fun
To add a little pizzazz to your edible artwork - keep some leftover crushed oreos and use them as dirt on your serving plate for the bats and spiders!
