Even if you aren't seeing everyone that you normally do for the holidays this year, it doesn't mean you can't create some warm and fancy looking treats! Whether it's for yourself or to send to your loved ones, these cookies are perfect for a novice baker (like me) and taste as amazing as they look!

Ingredients
1 cup of salted butter softened
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of light brown sugar
2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3 cups of flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of sea salt
2 cups of chocolate chips
Melting chocolates
Sprinkles
Equipment
2 mixing bowels
Mixer (hand or stand, whichever you have available)!
Baking pan
Baking parchment paper or tin foil
Instructions
Preheat over to 375 degrees F. Line your baking pan with parchment or foil and set aside.
Take one of your mixing bowls and mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder.
In another bowl, mix the butter with the brown and white sugar
Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy
Now mix both bowls together
Add in your chocolate chips
Roll the dough into balls and place them onto your baking sheet
Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes (depending on your oven, this may take more time. Starting at the 8 minute mark, if they don't look baked enough, keep checking in every minute or so until they look properly baked. You'll want to make sure you take them out just at they barely start turning brown).
Let them sit for a few minutes to cool down
Once cool, pour your melting chocolates into a bowl and melt them (I normally just pop them in the microwave for a few seconds) then stir until smooth.
Take a spoon and drip the melted chocolate over half of each of your cookies.
Take sprinkles and sprinkle them over the chocolate half before the chocolate cools.
Have the cookies sit out for a bit while the chocolate cools and then enjoy!
Save Some for Later!
I usually only make 8 at a time so chances are you'll have plenty of dough leftover. You can easily freeze it and save some later!
